Scavenger Hunt Sunday

This week's Scavenger Hunt Sunday has an Independence Day theme. It is a great privilege to live in a country where we still have freedom to worship and serve God in the way we choose. Despite the unrest our nation is in, it is our responsibility as Americans to do all we can to preserve that freedom. One person may not be able to do much, but if all will do a little, it will make a difference. Whatever else you choose to do, pray and believe in your heart. No one can take that freedom from you.

Now on to the prompts for this week:

1. Red

Watermelon is one of our favorite things to eat on the 4th of July. Besides the good taste, it is hydrating. Don't forget to drink (or eat) plenty of water when you are in the heat this summer.

2. White

The grandchildren had fun with the fireworks on the 4th. I practiced with my camera. I was too lazy to pull out the tripod, so I just held my breath and snapped the shutter. I was amazed to get such a great shot that included the dark side of the moon. This photo does qualify for 'white', I hope.

3. Blue

The lake was a beautiful shade of blue last week. Swimming is one of the few things the kids would rather do than play on electronics!

4. Play

Speaking of play, the older one didn't really want to, but after I took the Nook, he got involved. They both had a great time!

5. Sparkle

The fireworks were a lot of fun. My camera battery ran down before they ended, but I did get a few good ones. This was my favorite. My grandson had just lit a firecracker and as he ran away, carrying the punk, this guy seemed to follow him. I call him Sparky.

Thank you for dropping by today. I hope you enjoyed your visit. I have shared this blog post to Scavenger Hunt Sunday. You can click on the link below to participate.

    1. Thanks for the comments. Sparkle looks to me like a little electric man running from the lit firecracker.
