Scavenger Hunt Sunday--Week 22

It is so nice to be close to home this week. We enjoyed setting up at the antique show in Topeka last week, but it is much easier to set up at the Tulsa Indoor Flea Market close to home. It is just a one day show and only an hour from home. It just ties up two days instead of the four that antique shows cut from our week. Even though it is called a Flea Market, the merchandise is close to the quality of the antique shows and the customer base is exceptional. All my photos for this week's prompts were taken in Tulsa this weekend.

1. What IS that?

No, it's not an elephant. If you can't figure it out, you many see it from another angle later in this post.

Her is another one. This is probably too easy, but I like it anyway. It's quite a bit different from the ones we use today, if we use them that is. I prefer to use a fork.

2. Yum

Sweet Potatoes are one of my favorite foods. I'm the only one in my family who likes them. I prefer mine baked with a little real butter and cinnamon. They are healthier that way. Yum Yam!

3. On the Road

As Joe and I were on the road to Tulsa Friday morning we watched the clouds. Strong storms were forecast for areas south of us. The bathrooms in the buildings at the Tulsa Fairgrounds are storm shelters, so we were hoping we would be there when / if a bad storm hit. I'm not fond of tornadoes. Can you see how much wind was in these? 

We got our booth set up so we would be ready bright and early Saturday morning to sell. The threat of bad weather had cleared up by the time we left the building Friday evening. We were tired and hungry. On the road toward home is the Freeway Cafe, appropriately named. The food is reasonably priced and very good. We had grilled pork chops. I'm guessing they didn't have enough letters to spell TULSA correctly on the sign and had to improvise.

4. On the Shelf

This was an interesting display that Joe put together on the top shelf of his table. If you didn't guess my first "What IS that?" you will find another clue here. The red thing would have also made an interesting "What IS that?"

I like the way he used the old 7-up soda pop bottle crate for a smaller shelf to display his wares.

5. Bad Habit

It was nearly 4:00 p.m. Saturday afternoon when I found something to photography for this prompt. It was in the booth next to mine. Every time I looked on the shelf, this cat was hanging on the back of the girl's chair. I got to thinking about how dangerous it could be. If the girl was to stand up, the chair would fall over on him, and he would most likely break into pieces, as he was porcelain. Hanging on the back of a chair is a bad habit!
